| | Spain Local Project | PARTICIPA EN PARTICIPACIÓN
The local project of Alburquerque " Participa en Participacion", will be developed jointly with one of the local projects that has been carried out for the last year in Alburquerque "Proyecto del Pueblo" (Project of the town). This Town Project works to achieve civic participation; at first we began to work with the mayor and part of the team of town deputies, but to the extent that the project grew it openend up further and any inhabitant of Alburquerque can participate. In fact, at present 30 to 40 people participate in each of the projects sessions. These meetings usually take place on a Saturday morning once a month.
This project was born due to the necessity to educate to the youngsters of our town in participation, so that they can participate and intervene in our towns life in a responsible and conscious way.
Aims: - To sensitize towards the importance of actively participating in the spheres created for discussions led in our town with the goal of developing the local work.
- To educate our youngsters in Civic Educacion, by means of workshops and methods that promote decisionmaking and show that people can very well be responsible for their environment.
- To actively involve all these youngsters in the project of the town, where their needs and responsibilities as citizens are analyzed and discussed.
Objectives: To create an optimal climate for the work in groups. To promote critical thought and to establish a basis for an egalitarian decisionmaking. To be part of the Town Project and increasing youth participation.. To favor the communication between people and the group dynamics.
